The shops here are full of this stuff now, it’s quite mad. Metal band t-shirts, leather, denim, everything with studs or skulls on… I mean my immediate response to seeing a person dressed in an Iron Maiden shirt with a leather jacket and black shorts and spiked wristbands would be “hey cool, a metalhead. They obviously like Iron Maiden.” Now I’m just going to be wondering if they bought the whole outfit from Topshop and don’t actually like metal at all.
But y’know, on the positive side, people can wear what they want and I think it’s way cooler than the majority of fashion stuff. Also now loads of cheap clothes in styles I like are suddenly available…I am SO coming to visit you. That’s not fair! Lol The one store we had that didn’t cost an arm and a leg is now selling Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne next to band tees that everyone already has.
I bet your shops are going to be like that soon too, judging by how big this trend is getting!
